Delbert J. Lincoln, 77, of Carlisle, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2014, in the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born on Oct. 24, 1936, in Fairchance, the son of the late Samuel D. Lincoln and Eleanor E. (Hugh) Shields.

Delbert graduated from Carlisle High School and enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Aartje "Adry" (Drost) Lincoln and several children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Jeffrey Kettering will officiate. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Memorials may be made in Delbert's name to the American Heart Association.
