Dean R. Hankinson, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 26, 1946, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Joseph and Marie (Yinger) Hankinson.

Dean graduated from Carson Long Military School in 1964 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art from Lipscomb University in Tennessee. Dean was a third-generation self-employed stained-glass artist in Carlisle and was a longtime member of Carlisle Church of Christ.

He is survived by one daughter Tiffany and her husband Andy Robinson of Crossville, TN and one grandson, Zachary Robinson. He was predeceased by one sister Star Hankinson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the Carlisle Church of Christ, 971 Walnut Bottom Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015. A visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service. Minister Rusty Stark will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
