David D. Williams, 72, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle.  He was born on November 20, 1952, in Culpeper, Virginia and was a son of the late Marcellus Williams and Mary (Strothers) Gilbert.

David attended Chambersburg High School and was a member of the Chambersburg Elks Lodge.  He was an honorably discharged US Army veteran having served from 1977 to 1981.  David's last employment was working for a nationwide cleaning service company.

He is survived by one daughter Tomika Williams of Rockville, MD, one son Dexter Williams of Savannah, GA, one brother Thomas Lewis of Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Joan Williams and Donna Williams both of Chambersburg, two nieces, Joan Pruitt of Chambersburg and Julie Williams of Harrisburg and two nephews, Booker Williams of Maryland and Terrance Williams of Carlisle and his former wife Cathy Doakes of Atlanta, GA.

Burial with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.  Arrangements are being handled by Ewing Brothers Funeral Home in Carlisle.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
