David Charles Farner, 59, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born on January 13, 1957 in Harrisburg and is a son of Evelyn N. (Ackerman) (husband, Billy) Porter of Carlisle and the late Donald B. Farner.

David was a US Navy veteran having served from 1974 to 1982. He was employed for the past 15 years with Exel in Harrisburg.

In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by one brother, Donald Farner, Jr. of Middletown and two sisters; Cathy Harper and Luann Jones both of Harrisburg. He was predeceased by one brother, Randy Farner.
