David D. "Dale" Bowers, 91, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle.  He was born on September 9, 1933, in Carlisle and was a son of the late John and Mary (Stahler) Bowers.

David graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the Class of 1951.  He owned and operated Stahler's Garage in Carlisle for many years.  He was an accomplished automobile repairman and collected antique cars.  David was a former member of the Carlisle Elks Lodge and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years Glae B. (Stump) Bowers, three daughters, Phyllis (husband Edgar) Barrick of Carlisle, Anita (husband Danny) Jones of Carlisle and Julia (husband Dexter) Eckenrode of Newville, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother John Lee Bowers.
