David M. Adams, 57, of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, January 16, 2010, in his home. He was born on Tuesday, March 18, 1952, in Carlisle, and was a son of the late Sylvester C. and Betty (Strine) Adams.

Dave was a 1970 graduate of Carlisle High School and had worked for the former Con-Rail and Norfolk-Southern Railroad for the past 38 years. Dave enjoyed hunting and the movies.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. (Shumaker) Adams of Carlisle, a daughter, Lauren R. Adams of Carlisle, two brothers; Thomas Adams of Newville and Richard Adams of Carlisle, a sister, Bonnie Roush of Newville, a grandson, Brydon McConnell of Carlisle, his companion, Heidi M. Delp of Mt. Holly Springs and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Carlisle Elks Lodge, 120 W. Ridge St., Carlisle with Peg Jones officiating. There will be no viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, assisted the family with the arrangements.
