Daniel B. Lightner, 70, of Carlisle, died on Monday, December 18, 2023, at home.  He was born September 10, 1953, in Carlisle and was a son of the late John Henderson Lightner and Rose Marie (Lambert) Alvarez.

Danny graduated from Carlisle High School in 1973 and was a self-employed plumber in Carlisle for 43 years.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Susan M. (Herman) Lightner, one son Daniel Lightner of Carlisle, one daughter Janelle "Ellie" Coyne of Carlisle, one sister Annette Warmelink of Crown Point, Indiana, one brother John Lightner of Young Harris, Georgia, three grandchildren, Weston, Austin and Evan, his mother-in-law Marie (Stets) Herman of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews.
