Cora G. Taylor, 97, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Church of God Home in Carlisle. She was born on September 3, 1921 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late John M. and Sarah (Stouffer) Sheaffer. Cora was the widow of Leroy R. Taylor, who died January 6, 2001.

Cora attended Mechanicsburg High School. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, working with flowers, canning, freezing and quilting.

She is survived by one son, George W. Taylor of Millsboro, DE, one daughter, Wendy L. Taylor of Camp Hill, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Cora was predeceased by one son, Robert L. Taylor, brothers; Clyde and Lloyd Sheaffer and sisters; Mary and Betty Sheaffer.

A visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Albert Holtzinger officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. www.Since1853.com.
