Clair Eugene "Buzz" Harder, 85, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at his sister's home in Carlisle.  He was born on September 17, 1938, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Clarence B. Harder and Rosella M. (Miller) Harder.  He was married to the late Mary R. (Cornman) Harder who died March 11, 1998.

Buzz graduated from Carlisle High School and served in the U. S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959.  He retired after many years of service with the Cumberland County Courthouse where he worked in maintenance.  Buzz was a member of many Carlisle social organizations including the Elks, Eagles, Moose Club, Carlisle Club, VFW Post 477, the AmVets and American Legion Post 101.

He is survived by three sisters, Clea Shadle of Harrisburg, Julia Harder of Carlisle and Juliana Walters of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother Ernest "Whitey" Harder and one sister Vivian Garrott.
