Obituary

Christopher A. Davis, 47 of Carlisle, passed away after a lifelong courageous battle with Sickle Cell Anemia on Monday, October 27th, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center. He is proceeded in death by his father, George L. Davis Sr. of Philadelphia. He is survived by his mother, Barbra J. Davis of Carlisle, his grandmother, Emma Pigford of Carlisle and three daughters Amierah Davis, Amelia Davis, and Nevaeh Davis of Gardners. He is also survived by his four brothers, Shawn Davis, George Davis Jr., Adrian Davis, and Terry Davis as well as two sisters, Gretchen Pettigrew and Sabrina Hunter. His Aunt Irma Thomas of Carlisle, with whom he held a very close bond, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Christopher was a graduate of Carlisle High School and further attended his studies in Culinary at Vance-Granville Community College. Christopher's love for family was always his first priority, and he would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed music, movies, good food, and he loved to cook. He had many interests, hobbies, entrepreneurial pursuits, and achievements throughout his life. Above all, his most rewarding achievement was raising his girls, which he lovingly reflected upon in his book titled, "The Invisible Bully Thriving in a Life with Sickle Cell Anemia" published in February 2023. Christopher loved the Lord and asked for forgiveness in all things every day. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. It was his faith in Christ, love for his daughters, and support from his cherished friends and family that kept him fighting. He often said, "I want to leave this world a better place than when I entered it". He dedicated his life to keeping this promise. Christopher was a loving son, father, brother, friend, teacher, and author.

Christopher, we love you. We miss you. You will forever be kept in our hearts.
