Christine R. Rasmussen, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on September 5, 1940, in Columbia, MS and was a daughter of the late John C. Ryals and Ada L. (Yates) Ryals.

Christine graduated from Bunker Hill High School in Marion County, MS.  She was a devoted homemaker.  She had attended Carlisle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years John H. Rasmussen, one son John H. Rasmussen II and one daughter Cynthia G. Griggs, one stepdaughter Mindy Rasmussen, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one daughter Christine Diane Dynarski, one stepdaughter Judy Rasmussen, four brothers and four sisters.
