Charles Roy Miller, 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Harrisburg Hospital.  He was born on November 14, 1938 in Plainfield and was a son of the late Charles G. Miller and Evelyn M. (Hollenbaugh) Unger and her husband Leroy Unger.

Charles was a US Army veteran.  He retired after 31 years of service with H. J. Heinze in Mechanicsburg.  He also had worked at Capital Products.  He was a life member of the Mt. Holly Springs Fish & Game Association.  Charles enjoyed snowmobiling, race cars and hunting.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 59 years, Thelma L. "Rick" (Lindsay) Miller, a half-brother, Richard L. Unger of Carlisle, a half-sister, Pauline L. Peters of Palmyra and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Lynn Miller officiating.  Burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  www.Since1853.com.
