It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles E. DeBor, 70, of Carlisle and formerly of Middletown. Charles left this world on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Carlisle Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.  He was born on November 4, 1952, in Pittsburgh and was a son of the late Jerome J. DeBor and Mary Lou (Clancy) DeBor.

Charles worked in residential and commercial construction most of his life.  He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast.  He had an affinity for art as he enjoyed drawing and wood carving.

Charles's kindness, warmth, and sense of humor left an enduring mark on the hearts of his family and friends.  One of Chuck's most admirable traits was how he always seemed to see the good in people, offering compliments rather than criticism.  His two daughters are filled with pride as they celebrate the life of their father.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy J. Blanco of Hagerstown, MD and Judy DeBor of Lemoyne, son-in-law John Blanco, four grandchildren, John Blanco, Ella Blanco, Olivia Walley, and Violet Walley as well as 12 siblings, Daniel DeBor, Joseph DeBor, Cathy Cherrington, Lucille Conatser, Paul DeBor, Theresa DeBor, James DeBor, Mary Ann McCaffrey, Barbara Stefanik, Sally Musulin, Rebecca DeBor Schultz, and Patricia DeBor.
