Obituary

Cecelia F. Warner, 87, of Shermans Dale and Carlisle, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born on Monday, April 28, 1924, in Shermans Dale, a daughter of the late Edward K. and Annie C. (Bentzel) Bridge.

Cecelia retired from Perry Village in New Bloomfield after 13 years of service. She was also a private home caregiver for many years and a loving and devoted homemaker. Cecelia was a member of theformer Pisgah United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale.She enjoyed gospel concerts, working in her yard and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Samuel I. Warner, two daughters; Vivian L. Warner and Patricia W. (and her husband, Larry) Snyder, both of Carlisle, one son, Richard E. (and his wife, Rudis) Warner, also of Carlisle, one brother, William Bridge of Shermans Dale, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Cecelia was preceded in death by brothers; Forrest and Joseph Bridge and sisters; Grace Zook, Helen Hoover and Doris Zeigler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Burial will be in Young's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shermans Dale. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
