Catherine R. Calaman, 93, of Carlisle, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Chapel Pointe Nursing Home.  Born on September 15, 1930, in Carlisle, Catherine was the daughter of the late Earl and Verna (Zeigler) Bricker and was the widow of Donald E. Calaman who passed away on May 8, 2008.

Catherine graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the class of 1949.  She was a 70-year member of the Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church and a long-time member of The Way – Ladies Bible Class.  Catherine was a homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her family and her home and liked to keep things tidy.  She also enjoyed planting flowers to beautify her home.  She was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed making delicious meals.  In her younger years, Catherine loved to sew, often making many of her own dresses and clothes.  Later in life she became an avid baseball fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching her beloved Atlanta Braves baseball games at every opportunity.  Catherine was kind, compassionate and most of all, Catherine loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by two sons, Randy E. and wife, Kelley of Enola and Bryan E. of Carlisle; one grandson, Darren W. and wife Aidel of Lebanon.  She was preceded in death by one brother Vance S. Bricker and one sister, Florence I. Malachowski.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, 2135 Ritner Highway, Carlisle, with Pastor James Bonsell and Pastor Iva O'Brien officiating.  Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle.  There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m., at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
