Carolyn Jean (Hoch) Moffitt, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 16, 1945, in Carlisle, to the late Retha (Crites) Kingsborough. She was the widow of Ralph Moffitt.

Carolyn graduated from Big Spring High School in Newville with the class of 1966. She spent many years as a cashier at the All-American and Petro truck stops. She also worked with the Salvation Army, where she enjoyed helping others.

She is survived by her daughter Alice Nickey, one granddaughter Faith Burkett, one grandson Max Grimes, a great-granddaughter Nova Burkett and a great-grandson Oliver Burkett.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
