Carol Thumma Bucher, 74, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at UPMC Harrisburg.  She was born on December 9, 1947, in Mechanicsburg and was a daughter of the late Norman L. Thumma and Willodeen (Rockey) Thumma.

Carol was a 1965 graduate of Northern High School.  She was a devoted homemaker.  Carol loved to read, crochet, and most of all spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years John L. Bucher, their children, Jill Richmond, Linda Johnson, Wanda Moore and Ritch Bucher, two brothers, B. Daniel Thumma and Rock Thumma, 10 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Carol was preceded in death by a sister Darla.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Jon Weigel officiating.  Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences to the family.
