Bryan P. Keck, 44, of Dillsburg, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010, in Monroe Township, Cumberland County from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born Tuesday, June 28, 1966 in Carlisle and was a son of Clyde A. Keck, Carlisle and Faye A. (Horn) Keck Hurley, Carlisle.
Bryan was a 1984 graduate of Cumberland Perry Vocational Technical School and Cumberland Valley High School and a 1986 graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College. He was employed by IBM Corporation since 1986 in various capacities, with his last position as a Project Manager. Bryan formerly attended Carlisle Brethren In Christ Church. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, boating, canning and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his step-father, Wilson Hurley of Carlisle, his brother, Mark D. (and his wife, Mary) Keck of Lewisberry, two sisters; Anita (and her husband, Lynn) Fahnestock, of Shippensburg and Patty (and her husband, Steven) Clark of Mechanicsburg, five nieces; Lori (and her husband, William) Gilbert of Enola, Alicia Keck of Mechanicsburg, Jennifer Park of Alexandria, VA, Amber Lehman of Carlisle and Stephanie Rybacki of Carlisle, his grand-nieces, Deanna Gilbert of Enola and Makaytive Lehman of Carlisle, his grand-nephew, Nolan Gilbert, of Enola, his step-brother, Terry Hurley (and his wife, Karen) of Harrisburg, and his step-sister, Dawn (and her husband, Terry) Mellick of Carlisle. Bryan will also be missed by his cat, "Cowboy".
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010, in Carlisle Brethren In Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, with Rev. Kenneth Hoke officiating. Viewing will be held from 6 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family will also receive friends immediately following the services on Friday for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the church. Burial will be at 2:15 p.m. on Friday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Monagan Twp., York County. Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Brethren In Christ Church or to the charity of your choice.
