Brenda L. Manuel, 49, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 11, 2010, in Harrisburg Hospital. She was born on Sunday, April 23, 1961 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late George W. Sr. and Margaret (Funk) Manuel.

Brenda formerly worked as a cashier at the Carlisle Gables Truck Stop.

Brenda is survived by her long time companion, Tim Lee Eckenrode and his mother, Barbara Neal, both of Carlisle, two sons; Ronald Eutzy, Jr. and Eric Hendrick, both of Carlisle, three daughters; Tammy Jo Manuel of Boiling Springs, Shantay Moody of Altoona and Autumn Marie Fall of Mt. Holly Springs, three brothers; George W. Manuel, Jr. of Carlisle, Charles S. Manuel of Newville and Craig M. Manuel of Carlisle, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Trine Park on West Pine St., Mt. Holly Springs. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
