Bonita M. Forsythe, 82, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. She was born on September 17, 1944, in Carlisle, to the late Marshall and Evelyn (Lebo) Prosser.

Bonita graduated from Carlisle High School with the class of 1962. She worked at the former Kinney Shoe Co. in Fairfield. She later retired from Capital Blue Cross where she was a Claims Document Prep Clerk.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Olson of Mechanicsburg, Kelly Hartman of Gettysburg, son Scott Olson of Gettysburg, one grandson Dru Hartman of York, a sister, Arlene Bartholomew, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Karen Eby and Shirley Lamp.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. in Carlisle with Reverend Kathryn Johnston officiating.
