Blanche Manani "Nane" (Brougher) Adam 89, of Chapel Point at Carlisle, passed onto her heavenly home on June 23, 2022.  She was dearly loved and cared for by Homeland hospice, the staff and residents of Chapel Pointe, ministers, friends, and relatives.  She was born on January 6, 1933, in Newville and was the daughter of the late Paul and Sarah (Heiser) Brougher, and sister of the late Paul Brougher.  Blanche was the widow of Richard "Slim" Adams, who passed away in 2006.

She worked as an operator for United Telephone Company, Wilson Pharmacy as a clerk, babysat and retired from P. R. Hoffman after 32 ½ years. Following her retirement, Blanche volunteered at the Salvation Army as a social service receptionist and the Senior Action Center for 20 years.   She also served 8 years as a board member for Cumberland Co. Office of Aging.  She and her cat "Tia" moved to Chapel Point in 2014, and because of her love of others she continued her volunteer service to that community.  Blanche was a faithful member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church and Chapel Pointe Chapel.

In celebration of her life, a graveside service will be held at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mira Hewlett officiating.  In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in memory of "Blanche" to Chapel Pointe,770 S.
