Betty S. Nickey, 102, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at her home.  She was born on April 2, 1922, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Edward Spahr and Della (Roney) Spahr.  Betty was the widow of Paul J. Nickey.

Betty graduated from Carlisle High School and retired after many years of service with JCPenney in Carlisle.  Betty was a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle.

She is survived by three daughters, Patra (husband Bard) Rupp of Cape Coral, FL, Paula (husband Larry) Cook of Estero, FL, and Debra Nickey of Carlisle, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
