Betty I. Miller, at the age of 100 from Carlisle, went to her heavenly home on August 10, 2026.

Born on September 30, 1925, in Boiling Springs, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Esther (Smith) McGough. Betty was married on December 16, 1950, to Robert E. Miller. He passed away in 2004.

Betty and Robert had three children, Wendy Kaplan (deceased), Robert Miller, Jr. and David Miller, five grandchildren, Jason Kaplan, Kyle Miller, Erica Spera, Nathan Miller and Sarah Bott, two great-grandchildren Maisie and Lincoln Spera. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Bricker and Carole Uhler. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ray McGough and James McGough

Betty loved her family and enjoyed people. She enjoyed playing cards to all hours of the morning, crocheting, growing a garden, canning, cooking and especially baking. She loved sharing the things she would make with friends and family, especially her homemade pies. She worked part-time for her brother-in-law Chuck Bricker who was an Auctioneer. Betty was his auction clerk for the auctions and as part of the food sales, Betty would make homemade pies every week. Her other joys in life included playing bingo, going to meat raffles and flea markets. She was a collector of many treasures. Betty and her daughter especially enjoyed searching for jewelry finds at local auctions and flea markets.
