Betty J. Jones, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on July 2, 1935, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Jesse Kitner and Jean (Hockenberry) Kitner.

Betty was a devoted homemaker and worked 10 years at Carlisle Container Co.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Donald E. Jones, three sons, Douglas Jones and Timmy Jones, both of Carlisle, and Bradley (wife Lisa) Jones of Shippensburg, one daughter Donna Allard of Shippensburg and several grandchildren.  Betty was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Dale, Vance, and Ray Kitner, one sister, Gladys Barrick and one granddaughter Tabatha Jones.

A private viewing will be held at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home followed by a private graveside service in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with Rev. Richard Reese officiating.  Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.
