Betty J. Hunsecker, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Harrisburg Hospital.  She was born on June 4, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Jane Ellen (Keck) Goodhart.  Betty was the widow of R. David Hunsecker who passed away on March 23, 1980.

Betty graduated from Carlisle High School in 1948 and after graduating from beauty school in Carlisle she began her 30-year career from her home in the country which was named the Betty Hunsecker's Beauty Shop.  In the 1970's, Betty established a second shop called Mademoiselle Beauty Salon on East Louther Street in Carlisle.  She was a member of Centerville Lutheran Church, Newville.  Betty was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by two sons; Gary D. (Jane) Hunsecker of Shippensburg and Dan E. Hunsecker of Carlisle, one sister, Gertrude Hair of Shippensburg, three granddaughters; Jennifer, Lori and Shannon and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Nedra L. Cromer.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerville Lutheran Church, 1874 Walnut Bottom Rd, Newville, PA 17241 with Vicar Andy Wagner officiating.
