Betty Arleen Heisey, 88, of Gardners, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Elmcroft Personal Care Home in Dillsburg. She was born on Nov. 3, 1925, in Elizabethtown, a daughter of the late Frank and Salome (Eisenhour) Sweigart, and was the widow of Lloyd C. Heisey, who died May 10, 2010.

Betty was a loving homemaker and formerly drove school bus for disabled children. She was a member of the Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. Betty enjoyed camping with her family and spending her winters in Florida.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey L. (Kathleen) Heisey of Carlisle, one daughter, Terri A. (Donald) Miller of Gardners, two sisters; Nancy Kerstetter of Ohio and Connie Ropka of Florida, one brother; Lloyd Frederick of PA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-granddaughters, 2 great-great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be begin at 9:30 am. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Lee Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
