Betty Shuey Hafer, 95, of Carlisle and formerly of State College, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, Carlisle. She was born on September 23, 1921 in Bellefonte, and was a daughter of the late Willis and Daisy (Haines) Shuey and the widow of Robert T. Hafer, who passed away in 2004

Betty was a graduate of the Bellefonte High School and worked as an Avon Representative for 25 years. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Carlisle.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann H. (husband, Harry) Smith and one son, Bradley T. Hafer, both of Carlisle, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by 13 siblings.
