Betty was a 1953 graduate of Carlisle High School and was employed by the Carlisle Area School District as an accounting clerk for over 20 years. Betty also co-managed, with her husband, Carlisle Memorial Services for many years. She was a member of Middlesex United Methodist Church and also attended Waggoners United Methodist Church, both of Carlisle. Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star - Old Bellaire Chapter and Eagles Aerie 1299 Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, John E. Andrews, one daughter, Krista L. Uplinger (and husband, Randy) of Carlisle and one brother, Donald L. Stickel of Carlisle andher sister-in-law, Jaclyn Andrews Mountz of Carlisle.Betty was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Sue Andrews and one brother, William Stickel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Waggoners United Methodist Church, 1271 Longs Gap Rd. Carlisle, with Pastor Tim Funk and Pastor Jacob Waybright officiating. A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
