Bertha L. Minnich, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community in South Middleton Twp.  She was born on April 12, 1941, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Peter Hysick and Arlene (Wrightstone) Hysick and the widow of Robert A. Minnich, Sr., who passed away on August 25, 2006.

Bertha retired after 40 years of service with Bedford Shoe Co., Carlisle.  She was a former member at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle and the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Aerie 1299 of Carlisle.

She is survived by one son, Robert A. (wife Jeanne) Minnich, Jr. of Camp Hill, two daughters, Teresa A. Bosler of Carlisle and Shirley A. Minnich of Plainfield, two brothers, Edwin Hysick and Peter Hysick, Jr. of Carlisle, one sister Susan Hurley of Philadelphia, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son-in-law Robert Bosler, one brother Stephen Hysick and one sister Sandy Weller.

A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle with Pastor Richard Reese.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.  www.Since1853.com.
