Barry L. Vanasdalan, 65, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1957, in Carlisle and is a son of Joyce Arlene (Mentzer) Davis of Mechanicsburg and the late Lionell Vanasdalan.

Barry worked at All American Truck Stop for 20 years in maintenance, Cumberland Distribution Warehouse, as a security guard at Williams Grove Speedway, cleaning services with ServPro and as a van driver for the railroad. He was a member and former Adjutant of the Sons of American Legion with the American Legion Post 101, a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299 and he played for Post 101's pool team thru the Cumberland County Pool League, all of Carlisle. Barry enjoyed sprint car racing at Williams Grove speedway, following the band Chris Woodward and Shindiggin and was an avid trout fisherman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Kathryn (Kevin) Berdanier and sons, Gabriel and Carey, one brother, George Vanasdalan of Mechanicsburg, one sister, Deb Davis of Mechanicsburg, two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew. Barry is predeceased by one brother Kenneth Hockley, Jr., and his stepfather Carl E. Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, in the LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Twp., Carlisle. www.EwingBrothers.com.
