Barbara A. (Rowe) Weber, 61, of Newville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She joined Paul C. Weber, her beloved husband of nearly 39 years, following his unexpected death just a week earlier.
Barbara was born in 1965 to Walter Rowe and Margaret (Bickley) Rowe in Langhorne, Pa. She spent most of her childhood in nearby Wrightstown and graduated from Council Rock High School in 1983. She studied business at Marymount College in Arlington, Virginia and upon graduation, she worked for GMAC Mortgage Corp. for two years.
Barbara met Paul during high school when he was working on her cousin Dave Walton's dairy farm in Newtown, Pa. In 1987, they married at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Yardley, Pa.
A year later, they built their first house in Doylestown, Pa. where they began raising their first two sons, Robert and Clayton. In 1992, the family moved to a farm in rural Carlisle, Pa. where they welcomed their third son, Joseph, to the Weber clan.
In 2005, the family made their final big move to a farm located in the hills of Newville, Pa. where they built a new house and raised beef cattle. A proud stay-at-home mother, Barbara liked cooking, being outside on nice warm days, and spending time with family and friends. Among her sons' favorite memories is how his parents joking around with each other made them smile.
After attending a special Boy Scout Sunday service at Huntsdale Church of the Brethren with their son's troop in the mid-1990s, the Webers joined the congregation. They became members of Troop 185 Parents Auxiliary, with Barbara serving as treasurer. She also taught the kindergarten to third grade class in the church's Wednesday Family Night program. Along with the rest of the family, Barbara was also active with the Cumberland County 4-H Dairy Club as well as volunteering at Mifflin Elementary School in Newville.
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis shortly before Rob's birth in 1989, Barbara relied on a motorized scooter since 2003 to assist with her mobility. Calling her "tough as nails", her sons describe her as a true fighter. Although MS eventually affected her in almost every way, her proudest achievement was that she didn't let her disease define her – or get in the way of the fact that she was, first and foremost, a mother, grandmother and wife – even after it started to take a toll on her body.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Walter (2001) and Margaret (2022), brother, John Rowe, and most recently by her husband, Paul C. Weber. She is survived by her children: Robert (Kerri) Weber, Clayton (Rachel) Weber, and Joseph (Natasha) Weber; grandchildren: Eva, Nora and Natalyn, James, Andrew and Luke, Marla; siblings: Chris Rowe, Kevin Rowe, and Debbie Thweat as well as loving sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is planning a private burial. A celebration of life will be held On Saturday, Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. at the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren. The family will hold a visitation at 11 a.m. before the service. www.EwingBrothers.com.
