Barbara J. (Greegor) Ocker, 91, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on July 1, 1931, in Silver Spring Twp. and was a daughter of the late John K. Greegor and Clara (Markle) Greegor.  She was the widow of Norman S. "Skeeter" Ocker, Jr.

Barbara graduated in 1951 from Mechanicsburg High School.  She retired as a supervisor with the Cumberland County Housing Authority.  She formerly did book-keeping for Rufe Chevrolet, Carlisle and worked as a waitress at the Carlisle Farmers Market Restaurant.  Barbara was an accomplished seamstress.  She loved playing bingo and visiting casinos.

She is survived by one son Ronald J. (Trish) Ocker of Carlisle, one daughter Karen S. Reed of Newville, three grandchildren, Kim Orner, Josh Ferrer and Chassy Ocker, seven great-grandchildren, Tiffany LeBlanc, Amanda Novak, Dale Orner, Jr., Nathan Ferrer, Noah Ferrer, Nora Ferrer and Noelle Ferrer and four great-great-grandchildren, Olive, Parker, Paxton and Jaxson.  Barbara was preceded in death by one son Donald Ocker, one son-in-law  and four sisters.

A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Joshua Ferrer as the officiant.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs. www.Since1853.com.
