Arthur D. Casey, 96, of Artemas and Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at his home in Carlisle.  He was born on September 9, 1925, in Philadelphia and was the son of the late William F. and Esther V. Casey.

Arthur was a high school graduate.  He retired from the United States Coast Guard – Merchant Marine as a Chief Mate with 43 years of service.  He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years of Evelyn B. (Shipley) Casey, one son David Casey, two daughters, Kathy Johnson and Ruth Ann Wigfield, one stepson Rodney Clingerman, one stepdaughter Donna Heavner and many grand and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one daughter Betty Casey.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. in the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Rd, Everett, PA.  Burial will be in Fairview Christian Church Cemetery in Artemas.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
