Archie Thomas, 70, of Carlisle, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. He was born on January 1, 1944, in Opelika, AL, a son of the late John and Cornelius (Wilson) Thomas.

He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Archie retired from the former Lear Corporation in Carlisle with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of the Haines-Stackfield American Legion Post in Carlisle.

He is survived by one daughter, Vonetta R. Thomas of Carlisle, his companion of many years, Ellamae Evans of Carlisle,two brothers; John Thomas, Jr. and Leon Thomas, both of Florida, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 to help the family with the final expenses.
