Annabelle M. Wetzel, 93, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Claremont Nursing Home.  She was born on February 8, 1930, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Benjamin H. Snyder and Annie E. (Gutshall) Snyder.

Annabelle was a member of The Meeting House Church, Carlisle.  She worked as a cook for 19 years in the cafeteria at Carlisle Senior High School.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years Robert C. Wetzel, one brother Edward L. Snyder of Carlisle, one sister Shirley A. Kauffman of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles L., Sylvester R., Ray G. and Richard B. Snyder and seven sisters, Mabel Blosser, Rose Bitner, Marian Calaman, Betty Shuler, Doris Mixell, Vivian Tibbo and Grace Deitch.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at The Meeting House Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, PA 17015 with Pastor Bob Verno officiating.  The burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
