Angela I. Zimmerman, 52, of Shippensburg, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her home.  She was born on September 16, 1968 in Carlisle and is the daughter of Sharon K. (Hurley) Kirby and stepfather Gary Kirby of Newville.

Angela graduated from Big Spring High School with honors and attended Cumberland – Perry Vo-Tech for nursing and graduated in 1986.  Angela was a stay at home mother and wife the later part of her life.

She loved her children very much and was the most gracious and heart-warming friend anyone could ever have. She would always open her door for anyone. Angela loved movies and music. She followed in her brother's footsteps as he journeyed throughout his career as a teenager working in the theater business. She would remember actor movie lines and would know them all by heart. Angela loved her mother's cooking and would always come for potato soup and stuffing. Most of all, becoming a grandmother renewed her life and it brought such joy to her heart, it fulfilled what was missing.

In addition to her mother and father, Angela is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael D. Zimmerman, four children, Zachary Zimmerman of Mount Holly Springs, Kaysey and Lea Zimmerman of Shippensburg and Keirstan Zimmerman of West Virginia, one grandson Michael Allen Schwalbe, three brothers, Eric L. Pechart, Brian Pechart and Paul Pechart, one sister Raquel Wert and several nephews.
