Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Richard Fritz, Jr.,36, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Andrew left us too soon, leaving a profound void in the lives of his family and friends. Born on November 17th, 1988, in Carlisle, PA, to Andrew Richard Fritz, Sr. and Theresa Ann Strahosky, Andrew was a beloved son, brother, partner, and friend.

Andrew grew up in Carlisle, where he graduated from Carlisle High School with the Class of 2007. Throughout his life, he held a variety of jobs but found his fulfillment and calling as the sole proprietor of AF Cleaning and General Services, a business he proudly operated with his partner and the love of his life, Anna McKenzie. Together, they built a reputation for exceptional service to their clients, earning respect and admiration in their community.

Andrew will be remembered for his charismatic personality, his selfless nature, and his love for family. His presence lit up any room, and his ability to connect with people made him a cherished friend to many. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, often putting others' needs before his own.

Andrew was a passionate sports fan, with a deep love for Notre Dame football and the Pittsburgh Steelers, a passion he shared with both of his dads. He found joy in the outdoors, spending his free time fishing, kayaking, and embracing nature. Family was at the heart of Andrew's life, and he made it a priority to attend every family gathering, always eager to connect with his loved ones.

Andrew's life, though cut short, was filled with love and laughter. He leaves behind his partner, Anna Marie McKenzie; parents, Andrew Richard Fritz, Sr., and Theresa Ann Nist; his stepparents, Amy R. Fritz and Charles T. Nist, Sr., and their extended families; brothers Cameron and Connor Fritz, and Charles T. Nist, Jr.; paternal grandmothers Helen Grove and Barbara Fritz; his aunts and uncles, Toby Fritz, Renee Grove, Myra and Dolly Keeley, Richard and Pat Strahosky, Kathleen and Skip Barbour, Michael Strahosky, along with Andrew's many cousins, who will all cherish his memory forever.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparent Richard L. Fritz and maternal grandparents Richard and Mary Ann Strahosky, and cousins, Maygin Barbour and Jamie Lee Regis.

Andrew's personal struggles were a part of his journey, a reminder of the battles many face in silence. Despite the challenges, his kindness and warmth remained unwavering, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Andrew's life will be celebrated in a memorial service held Saturday December 7, 2024, at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home in Carlisle with visitation being held from 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m., and a service to follow, where friends and family will gather to honor the life of a remarkable man who touched so many hearts. Pastor Richard Reese will be the officiant. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to New Life Community Church, 64 E. North St. Carlisle, PA 17013.

Rest in peace, Andrew. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
