Alyce F. Mayberry, 95, of Carlisle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.  She was born on September 16, 1925 in Harrisburg and was a daughter of the late Clarke C. Dunkle, Jr. and Mildred (Rhinesmith) Dunkle and the widow of Ray A. Mayberry who passed away in 2008.

Alyce was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Carlisle First Church of God.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Mayberry of Carlisle and Cindy L. (Kevin) Whitzel of Carlisle, two brothers, Clark C. (Teresa)  Dunkle, III of Carlisle and Theos (Jan) Verow of Carlisle, two sisters, Beverly Verow Rife of Bloserville and Cheryl (Allen) Verow Key of Carlisle, three grandchildren, Rebekah (Alan) Billings, Kristoffer (Jenn) Lichtenberger and Tyler (Liz) Beattie, three great-grandchildren, Amelia and Willow Beattie and Persephone Lichtenberger and several nieces and nephews.  Alyce was preceded in death by one son David A. Mayberry, one sister Betty (Dunkle) Shughart and one granddaughter Allyson Beattie.

Private graveside services will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with Pastor Clark C. Dunkle, III officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite animal shelter of your choice.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
