Alex Gregory Nelms, II, 39, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Carlisle.  He was born on September 12, 1984, in Camp Hill and is the son Latonia (Goens) Green of Carlisle, and Alex Gregory Nelms of Florida.

Alex earned his G.E.D and began a budding career in Warehousing. His employment with FedEx was undoubtedly his favorite. Where he rapidly climbed the ladder and was promoted to administrative duties. He enjoyed spending time with family and was often found fully engaged in Fortnite Battle with his nephew Jantzen. Alex knew God and was sincerely seeking his purpose. He was a part of the New Life Community Church in Carlisle.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter Cora Miller Nelms and paternal grandmother Vivian Early of West Virginia. Four sisters, Shabre Cumberbatch, Aja Brooks, Amber (Troy) Ramsey and Akia Thompson. Three brothers Jerrel Thompson, Canin Nelms and Darius Nelms.  Also surviving are nieces, Aisanna Crawford, Ciana Ramsey, Eliza Washington, and Alina Vasquez. Two nephews, Jantzen Crawford and Savaughn Ramsey. Three aunts, Linnette Alexander, Lisa Smallwood and Pamela Thompson and one cousin adopted as "Aunt" Michele "Shelly" Oliver. One great Aunt Evelyn Smallwood and great uncle Robert T. Smallwood and a host of cousins and many friends.

A viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. in the New Life Community Church, 64 E. North St., Carlisle with Pastor Ryan Brown officiating.  The burial will be private.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
