Rev. Albert W. Steever Jr., 83, of Carlisle, devoted husband of 61 years to Dottie (Bach) Steever, passed away, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.  He was born on March 15, 1941, in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Albert W. Steever Sr. and Emma (Scarborough) Steever.

He was a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School in Horsham, PA, earned his Bachelor's degree in English from Shelton College and earned a Master's degree in Divinity from the Westminster Theological Seminary.  Pastor Steever was an Orthodox Presbyterian minister and served congregations in San Francisco, CA, West Collingswood, NJ, Middletown, PA and Ringoes, NJ.  He served as a volunteer chaplain with the Collingswood Fire Department.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa (husband William) Etsweiler of Carlisle and one son, Jonathan Steever of Wallingford, VT, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.  A memorial service is being planned for a future date.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
