Obituary

Albert R. Finkenbinder, 63, of Plainfield, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home. He was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Carlisle, a son of the late Ralph and Geraldine (Boldosser) Finkenbinder.

Albert retired after 30 years of service with the former C. H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle. After retirement, he worked part-time as a cook at the Farmers Market Restaurant, Carlisle. He was a member of the Mosquito Creek Hunting Club in Frenchville and the Plainfield Gun Club. Albert enjoyed hunting and was a NASCAR collector and gun collector.

He is survived by two sons; Jeremy (and his wife, Chrissy) Finkenbinder of Carlisle and Christopher Finkenbinder of Plainfield, one daughter, Brandie (and her husband, Brian) Batchelder of Newville, two sisters; Linda Wiley of Boiling Springs and Susie Finkenbinder of Plainfield, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy George officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2 Lemoyne Dr., Ste. 101, Lemoyne, PA 17043.
