Adis graduated from Larimore High School in Larimore, ND. She was a long time employee with the Bon Ton department store in Carlisle. She was a member of the USAWC Memorial Chapel, where she was a member of the Protestant Women of the Chapel. Adis was also a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. She was the consummate Army wife, a devoted mother to her four children and a loving friend to the many people she met during her life in the military and her employment at the Bon Ton. Her strong faith was reflected in her work with the War College Chapel and the bible study class she taught and her many trips to Israel which brought her great joy.

She is survived by one son, Ronald R. Rasmussen, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Colorado Springs, CO and Palo Alto, CA, two daughters; Betty Eng and her husband, John of McDonough GA and Mary Flores and her husband, Elias of Cedarville, CA, six grandchildren; Elias Flores, Matthew A. Rasmussen, John A. Rasmussen, John C. Eng, Lydia A. Rasmussen and Emily Flores, one sister, Nancy Zumbo and her husband, Robert of Minot, ND and one son-in-law, Gregg Gulden of Mt. Holly Springs. In addition to her parents and husband, Adis was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Gulden and one sister, Beverly Koch.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the USAWC Memorial Chapel, Carlisle Barracks, with Rev. Timothy W. Sadler officiating. Burial will be privately held in North Dakota. Visitation and fellowship will immediately follow the service at the chapel.
